NCCAT BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR NOV. 4, 2021

CULLOWHEE – The North Carolina Center of Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Board of Trustees will have a committee meeting Thursday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. in a virtual committee meeting from the NCCAT Cullowhee Campus, 276 NCCAT Drive, Cullowhee, NC 28723. The purpose of the committee meeting is to discuss planning for the future of the Cullowhee Campus facilities. Members of the public may view the meeting live at www.nccat.org

Tamara Houcard named NCCAT Senior Content Specialist

An educator with a wide variety of educational experience has joined the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) faculty.

Tamara Houcard has been named a Senior Content Specialist. Houcard joins the NCCAT faculty, which served all school districts in North Carolina last year. NCCAT provides teachers with new knowledge, skills, teaching methods, best practices, and information to take back to the classroom.

NCCAT faculty members part of effort to lead NC into the future with Rethink Education

North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) faculty members Ms. Elizabeth Joyce and Dr. Mandy Taylor are part of an educational effort to lead the development of effective instructional approaches and content that teachers can use when schools must close for unforeseen disruptions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. 

NCCAT alumni named 2021 NC Space Education Ambassadors

Five North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching alumni are among the 13 teachers selected as the second class of the North Carolina Space Education Ambassadors (NCSEA) program. Proud of our NCCAT alumni in this group!
