CULLOWHEE (April 24, 2015)—Amy Jo Spencer, a distinguished career educator, has been named senior literacy specialist at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development for teachers. NCCAT Executive Director Richard Thompson announced the appointment, effective June 29th.
Spencer has been a presenter at NCCAT the last two years in the “Reading, Writing, and Ready by Third Grade: An Early Grades Literacy Course.” She also attended NCCAT as a teacher.
