The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Cullowhee Campus Building Project Committee will convene a meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, via Zoom and in-person at 276 NCCAT Drive, Cullowhee, NC 28723. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NCCAT Cullowhee Campus Capital Project.

North Carolina educators, due to required maintenance to ensure great performance moving forward, our phone systems will be down starting Tuesday. We'll update on social media and our website when the phone system is back operational. Our website www.nccat.org will still be up and running, so we hope you will make plans for professional development and apply.

Apply now for a variety of programs in February. NCCAT helps North Carolina teachers grow in knowledge, skills, compassion, and professionalism so that students become engaged, self-motivated, and successful.

Applications for NCCAT Honored Educator Scholarship for 2023 are currently being accepted. The application period will close on April 30. Honored Educator Scholarships (HES) allow selected teachers to attend an NCCAT seminar. A HES covers all costs associated with participation in a five-day NCCAT seminar, including program materials, instruction, food, lodging, transportation, and substitute teacher. The honored educator also receives $250 for use in the classroom.

Twenty-seven teachers across North Carolina have been selected as finalists for the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Empower Beginning Teacher of the Year Award for their dedication, innovation, and ability to inspire students to achieve. One of these talented educators will be named the 2023 NCCAT Empower Beginning Teacher of the Year. The award will be presented on March 9, 2023, at the NCCAT Cullowhee Campus.
