Teaching (NCCAT) is seeking a reliable, hardworking Food Service Assistant to assist with food prep and Dishwashing. This position is located at the NCCAT-Cullowhee campus. Join a supportive team dedicated to excellence and play an essential role in

What You’ll Do
As a vital member of our Culinary Services team, your responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing fresh, delicious meals for NCCAT participants and guests.
- Dishwashing & Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, ensuring compliance with sanitation
standards.
- Dining Room Maintenance: Keep the dining area spotless and welcoming for our guests.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following:
•Basic knowledge of preparation, cooking and baking procedures.
•Basic knowledge of appropriate methods of cleaning and sanitizing equipment and small wares.
•Basic knowledge of serving line procedures, food serving procedures and food handling.

Management Preferences
•Ability of use of interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
•Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.
•Ability to maintain professional, cooperative working relationships with employees and/or clients.
•Ability to maintain high sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code.
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
•Ability to complete department records as required.
