NCCAT in April - It’s Time: Empowering Problem-Solvers
Now more than ever, it is time to empower our math learners with strategies that honor students’ strengths and propel problem-solving forward. In this session, we will discuss student-centered practices that move learning beyond simply finding the “correct answer.” We will learn strategies for problem-solving instructional routines as well as protocols to facilitate tasks in the math classroom. Authentic problem-solving needs engagement, supports, and encouragement. Let’s talk about how to accomplish these in the math classroom. This program is designed for teachers and instructional coaches in grades 3-8.
