Congratulations to Jessica Metz, a teacher with Cherokee Central Schools, on taking part in the 2014 Grosvenor Teacher Fellows expedition, a National Geographic tour given to just 25 teachers in the United States and Canada. Jessica is a NCCAT alumna and we are proud of her work!
Metz told the Smoky Mountain News: “Understanding geography and ecology and culture, whether it’s here in Western North Carolina or on top of a mountain in Canada or across the world, understanding those aspects are things that we have in common, things that we can all learn about each other and work together to take care of each other, to take care of our planet."
