Successful transition into the workforce force depends on the right training and credentials, but how do we ensure that students have the skills they need to do the job? This program will explore North Carolina’s career development continuum that scaffolds students’ work-based learning opportunities in elementary, middle and high school. Participants will learn research-based strategies that can be integrated in their work-based learning program such as labor market analysis, differentiating between different forms of work-based learning, building partnerships, and supporting students with disabilities. Come ready to learn new practices to integrate work-based learning in your curriculum while collaborating with colleagues on a work-based learning plan for your school or district.
