Designed for teachers in grades 2-6
It is no surprise that students have varied math instructional needs and that they learn at different paces. Meeting those complex needs in the math classroom can be challenging. This program will introduce the structures of math workshop and identify avenues of how these models can reach students’ learning needs. Teachers will learn how to create class structures that allow for small group instruction and independent work using the workshop models explored. In addition, teachers will delve into resources that will guide the facilitation of math workshop and provide station work ideas for virtual and in-person learning. This program is best designed for teachers in 2nd through 6th grades, teachers who work with exceptional children with this grade span content, as well as instructional coaches who work with math teachers.
