Senior Early Grades Literacy Specialist - The Senior Early Grades Literacy Specialist will plan, design, recruit for, and conduct K-12 programming as assigned in an annual work plan. Programming will be developed to meet current national and State legislation, state and local initiatives, research-based best practices, and Center needs. All programming decisions rest ultimately with the Executive Director. Programming will reflect a strong commitment to NCCAT's mission: to advance teaching as an art and as a profession. The Senior Early Grades Literacy Specialist is responsible for the teaching and administrative tasks associated with Center programming.

NCCAT has two campuses, one located in Cullowhee in the state’s southwestern mountains and the other on Ocracoke Island. This position is based in Cullowhee, NC. The Senior Early Grades Literacy Specialist will be required to work in the Cullowhee office. Based on the needs and demands of the program, preference will be given to local candidates.
