Success from the Start registration for January open
Open to teachers in their first, second, or third year of teaching, this program supports motivated beginning teachers by strengthening their knowledge base and classroom expertise. Teachers will develop their craft by understanding how to teach to the depth of their standards and differentiating for multiple levels of learners. Beginning educators will also have the opportunities to refine their teaching philosophies and class expectations.

January registration has opened for The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development.
Applicants are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure a position in the program.
North Carolina Teacher of the Year leads NCCAT program
North Carolina 2020 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Teacher of the Year, Maureen Stover, who was also named one of four finalists for National Teacher of the Year, recently presented in the NCCAT program "Dollar Store Science." In this one day seminar, participants learned ways to design lessons on a budget using inexpensive supplies and tools that you can find at your local discount store.

CULLOWHEE – The North Carolina Center of Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Board of Trustees will have a committee meeting Thursday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. in a virtual committee meeting from the NCCAT Cullowhee Campus, 276 NCCAT Drive, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
