We were pleased to read the column "Encouraging Boys to Become Better Readers" in The Transylvania Times by parent Corey Gafnea. Great work going on in Transylvania Schools on this important effort. NCCAT is happy to have been able to play a role in this. From the column -
"At Brevard Middle School two eighth grade ELA teachers have started a program to Bring Boys to Books. After attending a four day continuing education program at the N.C. Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) in Cullowhee last fall, April Nelson and Kelly Muse decided to set up a GoFundMe site and raise money to start this program for 51 of their boys."
Congrats to April Nelson and Kelly Muse! Good work!
