A project-based, STEM focused school, The Expedition School's goal is to complete four quarters of curriculum based, researched, hands-on projects for their multi-age classes.

Regional Beginning Teachers Summit Preparation
This team of Regional Education Facilitators will plan and implement Regional Beginning Teacher Summits in an effort to provide beginning teacher support statewide. This team is interested in impacting teacher retention by providing support to novice teachers and by establishing a network of beginning teachers who can work together and collaborate in a Professional Learning Network. Their goal is to provide quality regional summits, reducing travel costs and reaching more beginning teachers.

Improving Principal Practice: Addressing Teacher Evaluation through Data Analysis and Strategic Professional Development
The NCCS Chief Academic Officer will work with the NCEES Consultant from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to inform professional development evaluators in NCCS for the 2015-16 school year based on data to inform the NCDPI on how the OCT can be used as a facilitated model with districts to ensure participant growth.
