Kannapolis City School educator wins Honored Educator Scholarship

Congratulations to Lyndsey Pelusi, the recipient of the 2014–2015 Richard A. Schwartz Honored Educator Scholarship.  Lyndsey, a Curriculum Coach at Fred L Wilson Elementary School in the Kannapolis City School District, was awarded her scholarship while attending NCCAT’s early grades literacy program, “ Supporting the Literacy of Gifted Children" in Ocracoke.

Driven by a passion for education, Richard Schwartz devotes his life to helping school systems as a nationally renowned attorney and advocate for the teaching profession. Fittingly, the Richard A. Schwartz Honored Educator Scholarship honors his father, Dr. Norman Schwartz, and represents the ideals that Dr. Schwartz embodied throughout his life and long career in public education.
