Schools across North Carolina this month are celebrating National School Library Month to highlight the critical importance of school library media centers and their specialists to enrich student learning.
Thank you to the teacher leaders from around the Southeast RESA for joining us for the NCCAT Teacher Leadership Institute - SE RESA program in Ocracoke. Teachers explored leadership standards and developed an understand of the importance of teamwork in schools.
The sun is at a mid-morning rise and bursts of light are beaming into the classroom. Twenty-six bright eighth grade mathematicians transition into the room. They take their seats, smiling and silently greeting their desk neighbors with coded hand gestures, a variety of head nods, or a simple wave. Every student is excited to tackle the objective of the day, even the ones who claim, “Math just ain’t my bag.”
The North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair is presenting summer workshops entitled “How to Guide Student STEM Research.” Here is more about the program:
Attention: Grades 3-12 Teachers & Administrators
Plan to attend a 1-day Student Research & Science Fair Workshop.
There is a $15 registration fee, but all attendees receive a $65 stipend for participation.
