Gamification resource to share

We've talked before about Gamification here at NCCAT. We are very happy to offer an online course soon that has filled with educators ready to learn. Students are motivated due to personal choice and meaningfulness, real-time feedback, the ability to collaborate or compete, and over time, they learn stay persistent in learning due to prior successes.

"NC State Superintendent June Atkinson was named president of the Council of Chief State School Officers on Friday during the Council’s 2014 Annual Policy Forum and Business Meeting in San Diego, Calif. Atkinson served as the Council’s president-elect over the past year.

NCCAT alumna helps welcome home father from deployment

We were happy to read a recent story by the Wilmington StarNews welcoming home Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam Peterson. It was great to see this man who serves our country welcomed home by his daughter Aleeya Sampson. We were not surprised to see NCCAT alumna Beverly Ladd helped with setting this reunion up at Pine Valley Elementary School.
