NCCAT presents beginning teacher award at Greene County School Board Meeting

NCCAT Executive Director Dr. M. Brock Womble and Deputy Executive Director Dr. Karen Sumner had the honor of presenting Meghan Chinn with her North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) 2022 Prudential NC Beginning Teacher of the Year runner up award at the Greene County Schools NC School Board Meeting. Ms. Chinn is a Greene County Middle School Chorus/General Music teacher with Greene County Schools. Congratulations! Thank you for all you do.

This Week on Education Matters: Highlighting NCCAT BTOY winners

North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching Prudential Beginning Teachers of the Year winners will be featured in the "This Week on Education Matters" program this week. They will be introducing the 2022 Beginning Teacher of the Year, Xavier Adams as well as one of his students and the beginning teachers of the year from the inception of the program in 2020.

NCCAT BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 15th, 2022

The North Carolina Center of Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Board of Trustees will meet virtually on Friday, April 15th, 2022, at 4:00pm.  This is a special called meeting for the Ocracoke Long Range Committee to discuss potential vendors for Architectural services at NCCAT’s campus in Ocracoke, NC.

Iredell-Statesville Schools educator receives NCCAT Honored Educator Scholarship

Congratulations to Kinsi King of South Iredell High School in Iredell-Statesville Schools on receiving the NCCAT Richard L. Thompson Honored Educator Scholarship.The scholarship provides travel and money to use in the classroom. NCCAT helps North Carolina teachers grow in knowledge, skills, compassion, and professionalism so that students become engaged, self-motivated, and successful.
